Composite Suspension Insulators are electrical components designed specifically for suspension applications in high-voltage electrical systems. They consist of a core material made of insulating silicone rubber or other polymer materials, surrounded by a weather-resistant, flexible outer shell. The suspension insulators are suspended from overhead power lines and provide electrical insulation between the conductor and the support structure.

gaps and the non-linear metal-oxide resister shall be housed in a hermetically sealed
insulator casing to prevent ingress of moisture.
