Composite Suspension Insulator
Composite Suspension Insulators are electrical components designed specifically for suspension applications in high-voltage electrical systems. They consist of a core material made of insulating silicone rubber or other polymer materials, surrounded by a weather-resistant, flexible outer shell. The suspension insulators are suspended from overhead power lines and provide electrical insulation between the conductor and the support structure.
These insulators have several advantages over traditional porcelain or glass insulators, including being lightweight, easy to install, and having a higher mechanical strength. They are also resistant to moisture, UV radiation, and pollution, which can cause insulators to degrade over time. This helps to extend the service life of composite suspension insulators and reduces maintenance costs.
